This marine-focused project involved designing and producing custom oil sight glass covers for winches aboard vessels, replacing corroded and failing original components. Working from existing parts and functional requirements, our Dublin-based studio developed precise 3D Modelling & Design solutions to ensure accurate fit, sealing performance, and long-term reliability in demanding offshore environments.
The components were engineered with a strong focus on durability and environmental resistance, accounting for constant exposure to salt spray, UV radiation, and mechanical stress. Once finalised, the designs were manufactured using high-performance 3D Printing, selecting ASA material for its excellent weather resistance, mechanical strength, and stability in harsh marine conditions.
The finished parts restored full functionality to the winch systems while significantly improving durability over the originals. This project demonstrates our capability in industrial-grade 3D design and 3D printing, delivering robust, real-world solutions for challenging environments.
